What is fine art school portrait photography?
I aim to provide timeless, authentic portraits that families will want to share and display in their homes. I offer a personalized, boutique service to the families that attend the schools I service. I only take on a small amount of schools per year, to ensure superior customer service and artistic images.
I will not force a smile, but strive to capture the true essence of the children that I photograph. I do my school portraits on a plain colored backdrop(gray or black), or outdoors when weather permits. I feel that the busy backdrops and set-ups take away from the subject, and are unflattering in most cases.
I provide a calm environment, where children can relax and be themselves.
Fine art school portraits are perfect for private schools, preschools, daycares, charter schools, and home school groups.
What services do you offer?
My process is completely digital. Once a school contacts me to provide this service, I will send a PDF describing the ordering process and photo day preparation, for the school to distribute to families.
On photo day, I will photograph each child, and sibling group, as well as teachers and administrators. I provide the school with a class composite of each classroom, one for the office, and one for each individual classroom, these are also available for purchase by families during the ordering process. I provide all equipment needed, and will require a printed/emailed list of each classroom to help with organization.
Approximately 2-3 weeks after photo day, parents will receive a link and password to a private online ordering gallery. Children will be grouped by classroom or grade. Each child will be given 2-6 options, and can choose to print whichever they prefer. I offer a variety of print packages, a la carte items, digital downloads, and high-end boutique items. There is something for every price range. Parents can email me directly with all questions about ordering, product availability, timelines for shipping, etc.
I print one bulk order per school, and hand deliver. Any orders placed after this predetermined date, will be shipping directly to the parents home address(shipping rates apply).

What size schools can you accommodate?
I can provide this service to locations with 30-150 children.
What is the cost of your services?
There is no upfront cost. All profit comes from online orders. I offer a wide variety of packages, and a la carte items, meeting everyone’s needs.
What time of year should we book our school portraits?
I work with each location individually to meet your specific needs. These can take place any time during the academic year. If you are interested in outdoor/playground portraits, I recommend reaching out early to secure a date in September or October.
